Reiki Level 2 Certification in Guelph (Okuden)
Reiki Level 2, known in Japanese as Okuden or “the inner teachings,” is the next step after Reiki Level 1. In this two-day, in-person training, you’ll learn the three Reiki symbols, how to send Reiki at a distance, and how to bring your practice into everyday life with more focus and confidence.
I teach Level 2 in a small group of no more than four students at my home practice in Guelph, so there’s plenty of time for questions, hands-on practice and personal guidance. I’m a Reiki Master and a registered member of the Canadian Reiki Association, and I follow their guidelines and standards of practice in my teaching.
Before You Register
Level 2 builds on what you learned in Level 1, so you’ll need to have completed Reiki Level 1 (Shoden) in person. I ask students to wait two to three months after Level 1 before taking Level 2. If you trained with another teacher, please contact me with your certificate before registering so I can confirm your spot.
What You’ll Learn
- The three Reiki symbols and their mantras, what each one means and how to use them in practice
- Three attunements (reiju), one for each symbol
- Distance Reiki: how to send Reiki across space and time, including to past or future situations
- A traditional Japanese technique for working with mental and emotional patterns
- Using Reiki for yourself, for others and in your daily life
- Hands-on practice sessions and guided meditations
- How to keep your practice going after the class, including a 21-day self-practice
Training Details
- Format: two days, in person, in a small group of up to 4 students
- Day 1: 10:00 am to 4:30 pm
- Day 2: 10:00 am to 4:00 pm
- Lunch: each day includes a 30-minute lunch break. Tea and snacks are provided, so just bring your own lunch.
- Location: my home practice in Guelph, Ontario
- Includes: your Level 2 training manual, a Level 2 certificate and a journal with sacred geometry artwork
After Your Training
You’re always welcome at our monthly Reiki Share, where students and practitioners give and receive Reiki together. It’s a lovely way to keep practising and stay connected after class. After at least one year of practice with Level 2, you can continue to Master level (Shinpiden).
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to have done Level 1 with you?
No. If you completed Level 1 in person with another teacher, just send me your certificate before registering.
How much time is there between Level 1 and Level 2?
I ask students to wait two to three months after Level 1 before taking Level 2. That gives you time to practise daily, get comfortable with Reiki and notice how it works for you. If you’re unsure whether you’re ready, send me a message and we can talk about it.
Can I take Level 2 online?
No. Level 2 is taught in person only, so you can practise with others and receive your attunements in the room.
When can I take Master level?
I ask students to practise Level 2 for at least one year before moving on to Master level (Shinpiden). That time lets the teachings settle and gives you real experience to build on.
What if none of the dates work for me?
New dates are added regularly. Contact me and I’ll let you know when the next class is scheduled.
What should I wear?
Something comfortable. I’ll also send you an email a week before the class with everything you need to know.
