Do I need any experience to take Reiki Level 1?
No experience necessary. This training is designed to be inclusive and welcoming to everyone, regardless of experience or spiritual background. Whether you’re brand new to energy healing or have some familiarity already, you’ll be guided every step of the way.
What will I be able to do after completing Reiki Level 1?
You’ll receive your Reiki Level 1 attunement, learn the history and principles of Reiki, and gain hands-on techniques for self-healing and healing others, including chakra balancing and energetic cleansing. Many students use what they learn to support their own wellbeing and to offer Reiki informally to family and friends.
What if I can’t make the listed dates?
New Reiki Level 1 sessions run regularly throughout the year in Guelph. If the upcoming dates don’t work for your schedule, reach out and we can let you know about future training dates.
Is this an in-person or online certification?
This Reiki Level 1 Certification is held in person at our Guelph, Ontario studio (6 Mallard Court). It’s a two-day training that includes a training booklet, your certificate, and a special gift.
Is Reiki Level 1 the same as becoming a Reiki Master?
No — Level 1 (Shoden) is the foundational first step in the Usui Reiki Ryoho tradition. It’s the starting point for anyone who wants to learn Reiki, whether you plan to go further into Level 2 (Explore Reiki Level 2 Certification) and Master/Teacher training later or simply want these tools for yourself.
